An example of this would be the suite of "mud species" equating (among others) to Ellenberg's or Braun-Blanquet's Nanocyperion or Bidentetum phytosociological communities. This suite of plants appears to be declining dramatically in the UK, whilst there are other areas where this habitat is abundant
